Apple Music has officially launched in Pakistan, giving local users direct access to Apple’s music streaming service more than a decade after its global debut.
Apple recently updated its Media Services availability information to include Pakistan among countries where Apple Music is officially supported. The service originally launched worldwide in 2015, meaning Pakistani users have waited around 11 years for official availability.
Apple Music Price in Pakistan
The biggest news for local users is Pakistan-specific subscription pricing.
The Individual plan costs Rs379 per month, while the Family plan costs Rs649 per month and supports multiple family members.
Both options currently include a one-month free trial for eligible new subscribers. After the trial ends, the selected subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled.
What Do Pakistani Users Get?
Apple Music gives subscribers access to a large catalogue of songs, albums and curated playlists. Users can also get personalised music recommendations and download songs for offline listening.
Supported music can also offer features such as lossless audio and Dolby Atmos, depending on the track and device being used.
The official launch also means Pakistani users no longer need to depend on foreign regional settings simply to access a regular local Apple Music subscription.
Apple Music Classical Still Not Available
Not every Apple music service has arrived in Pakistan.
Apple Music Classical, Apple’s separate app focused on classical music, is currently not officially available in the country.
The launch also creates stronger competition in Pakistan’s growing music streaming market. Spotify officially entered Pakistan in 2021, while Apple Music is now giving iPhone, Android and other supported-device users another major option.
For Pakistani music listeners, the combination of local pricing, a free trial and official account support makes this one of Apple’s most important recent service expansions in the country.
