PPSC Jobs 2026 – Last Date Today for 1,958 Charge Nurse Vacancies Across Punjab

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is closing applications today, October 5, 2026, for one of the largest nursing recruitment drives announced in Punjab this year.

Under Advertisement No. 10/2026, a total of 1,958 Charge Nurse Female (BS-16) vacancies have been announced for the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department. The jobs are available to eligible candidates domiciled in any district of Punjab.

PPSC Charge Nurse Vacancies 2026

The 1,958 vacancies are divided into different quotas:

  • Open Merit: 1,801 posts
  • Special Persons: 59 posts
  • Minority Quota: 98 posts

Selected candidates will be appointed on a three-year contract and may be posted anywhere in Punjab. Preference will be given to graduates of government institutions.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates need either a four-year B.Sc. Nursing Generic degree with valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid PNC registration.

Applicants who had applied for their PNC registration on or before the closing date may be considered provisionally eligible, subject to providing the required documentary proof.

The basic age range is 21 to 28 years, with an eight-year relaxation, taking the upper age limit to 36 years for eligible applicants.

Nearly 2,000 Government Jobs

Charge Nurse recruitment makes up the majority of PPSC Advertisement No. 10/2026. The advertisement reportedly contains 1,992 vacancies in total, including 28 Veterinary Officer/Livestock Production Officer posts and six Assistant Director positions in engineering and town planning.
