The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has opened Spring 2027 postgraduate admissions, offering students a new opportunity to apply for PhD, MPhil, MS and other advanced degree programs.
Online admissions opened on October 6, 2026. Students can submit regular applications until October 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
Programs Offered by NUMS
NUMS is accepting applications for several postgraduate programs, including:
- PhD
- MPhil
- MS
- MSc
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Master in Health Professions Education (MHPE)
- Diploma in Cardiology
- Clinical Certification programs
PhD disciplines include Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, Public Health, Science of Dental Materials, Pathology and Psychology.
MPhil opportunities are available in subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Molecular Medicine, Community Medicine, Microbiology, Haematology, Oral Pathology and Psychology.
Other options include MS Clinical Psychology, MS Transfusion Medicine, MSc Cardiac Anesthesia and MSN.
NUMS Spring 2027 Application Deadline
The regular application processing fee is Rs.3,000, and applications must be completed by October 30 at 4:00 PM.
Students who miss the regular deadline can register with a Rs.5,000 late processing fee until November 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Both fees are non-refundable.
Entry Test and Merit List
NUMS will conduct onsite entry tests for relevant programs on November 17 and 18, 2026.
The entry-test admit card download link is scheduled to become available on November 12. Interviews are tentatively planned from December 1 to December 8, depending on the program.
NUMS plans to display the merit list for all programs on December 16, 2026.
Important Eligibility Requirement
Eligibility varies by program, so students should check the requirements for their chosen degree before applying.
For example, a valid GAT/HAT General score with at least 50% cumulative marks is mandatory for admission to MPhil Basic Sciences at Army Medical College and AFPGMI. PhD and other programs may have separate test, qualification and experience requirements.

How to Apply for NUMS Spring Admissions 2027
Applications must be submitted through the online NUMS admission portal. Hard-copy applications are not accepted.
Candidates need to upload the required academic documents, CNIC, photograph, updated one-page CV and other program-specific documents. After generating and paying the application fee challan, applicants must upload the NUMS copy of the paid challan and complete the final submission.

Most selected students will begin classes on January 4, 2027, while Psychology and selected Clinical Certification programs are scheduled to start on February 15, 2027.
